The performance of the Enermax Platimax 850W unit is by all means excellent. The power supply offers great electrical performance, ludicrously high electrical efficiency and exceptional thermal and acoustics performance. As a matter of fact, this power supply runs so cool and quiet that HTPC users will find it unbelievable. http://vr-zone.com/articles/enermax-platimax-850w-psu-review/14068-1.html |

To sum up, if you want to buy an efficient, high quality PSU to power two or three VGAs and you hate noise then the Enermax Platimax 850W is a good candidate, since it offers reliability and good performance overall along with silent operation. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Enermax/EPM850EWT/1.html |

The Platimax as such deserves a best hardware award. It is a truly excellent product that is undeniably very efficient. It has nice looks, it's a silent PSU and in fact is modular as well. Meaning you just use the wires you need. You also gain the litle extra's like the heatguard that will keep the PSU fan running for a little while after the system was shut off in order to allow for the PSU to cool down properly. http://www.guru3d.com/article/enermax-platimax-850w-power-supply-review/1 |

The Enermax Platimax 1200W is the largest 80Plus Platinum rated power supply we have seen. This is a testament to Enermax and its products. It does however very much compare evenly to Enermax recent MaxRevo 1350W. Both units feature the very best build quality we have seen from Enermax, excellent regulation on the minor rails, and extremely good DC Output Quality. The Platimax 1200W pulls a bit ahead of the MaxRevo 1350W in efficiency and noise output but it still has the same loose 12v regulation that we have seen previous Enermax units. Ultimately, the Platimax 1200W is a very solid 1200W unit that by the numbers is the most efficient on the market at this output level. http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/09/06/enermax_platimax_1200w_power_supply_review |
